Hey guys I appreciate the info on this podcast and enjoy the content.
I just wanted to mention that in this episode you guys mentioned (very briefly) that you can’t use illuminated reticles in Idaho and that is actually wrong. You should read page 98 in the new Regs under Weapons Restrictions. This rule has been around since I moved here 10 years ago as far as I know…basically in the reg it says:
In any hunt, including, any weapon seasons, it is unlawful to pursue or kill big game animals
With any electronic device attached to, or incorporated in, the firearm or scope; except scopes containing battery powered or tritium lighted reticles are allowed.
So basically you can use illumination but you cant use scopes with range finders built in or with thermals. I verified this with fish and game in the South West Region but you can also verify it too. Thanks for creating great content!
Oh and one last thing…maybe I missed this in a previous episode. But who the hell is Form, why does he hide is voice, and why should I listen or care what he says lol. It seems like there is cult following around this guy and I have know idea about his credibility besides he has a rockslide account lol. The stuff he says is crazy and I like about half of it, but who is he haha.
Also, I like the drop test stuff, but as a data analyst I think you really need larger sample sizes to really say a scope sucks. I know some of the stuff you test has a lot of testing and samples, but most of the stuff your rockslide crowd hates on has only been tested one, two or three times. The only scopes I know suck for sure are vortex and I totally agree with you guys on that lol. I have never owned a vortex scope or product that I haven’t had to send in. They are just garbage and I would rather have a better product than a lifetime warranty 😎.
Anyways thanks again for the content! Have great day!
